Let's start with my own program to get it out the way--WTMP! @writeteammentor is a mentorship program focused on community and support with a biennial mentorship program. It will return in 2025. WTMP’s Site.
We Need Diverse Books (WNDB)’s @diversebooks mission is to put more books featuring diverse characters into the hands of all children! They offer lots of resources and point to many other mentorship programs on their site, and run a mentorship program! WNDB’s site.
#Revpit @ReviseResub is a mentorship program that focuses on matching authors with editors, and usually runs in the Spring/Summer! They also run events! #RevPit’s site.
SCBWI @scbwi has a plethora of programs. Not all are free, and it’s largely location-based; app periods vary. But if you write for kids, this is THE org for you. Check ‘em out: SCBWI’s site.
Author Mentor Match @AuthorMentorM is another huge mentorship program that usually opens applications in the winter! AMM’s site. [May be defunct].
WriteMentor @writementor has a mentorship program during the summer, though they have tons of other resources (not all free)! WriteMentor’s site.
Avengers of Colour @avengersofclr is another program that focuses on authors of color, and last year their applications were open late summer/fall! Avengers of Colour site. [No recent information].
Latinx in Publishing @LatinxinPub has a mentorship program with apps typically happening in September! They’re here to support and increase #s of Latinx in the industry. Check them out and sign up for their newsletter: Latinx in Publishing site.
AWP's @awpwriter Writer to Writer mentorship program has fall and spring sessions based in career development and professional training. AWP: Writer to Writer Mentorship Program site.
Desi Kidlit #desikidlit has a 6mo program! They are working to fill literary shelves with South Asian voices. It seems that apps also open around Oct. each year. Sign up for their newsletter to stay in the loop! Desi Kidlit site. [No recent information].
The Madeleine Milburn Literary Agency @MMLitAgency has a mentorship program that ends in consideration for representation. Applications opened and closed in the summer last year! MMLA site.
The Women’s Fiction Writers Association @WF_Writers has mentorship program specifically for women's fiction authors that runs in both the spring and the fall! WFWA site.
I just did the Quillers @QuillersSWANA program, which focuses on SWANA authors! Quillers site. [No recent information].

From @JONNYescribe: Las Hermanas Mentorship Program @LasMusasBooks focuses on Latinx kidlit writers and illustrators, and is currently accepting applications until the end of February! Las Hermanas site.
From @NB_ShazL: Asian Women Writers @asianwomenwrite offers multiple types of mentorship programs, including a 3-4 month mentorship program, for women writers of Asian heritage! AWW site.
From @ay_chao: Diaspora Dialogues (DD) @ddialogues offers multiple mentorship programs specifically for Canadian diverse voices. DD site.
From @ThaisAfonso: Black Girl Writers @BlkGirlWriters specializes in mentorship for exactly as its name says! BLACK GIRL WRITERS site.
From @aliciabwilder: The Inclusive Romance Project @inclusiverom has a mentorship program that generally runs through summer and fall! IRP site.
From @MidbookReview: #QueerKidlit has a mentorship program for queer writers and/or illustrators! Their last program began its run in the summer! #QueerKidLit site.

From @JustinRColon: The #PBChat Mentorship runs for 3-months, specifically for picture book writers and illustrators. #PBChat site.
From @SDJohnson515: #Startwith8 @startwith8hwood is specifically for Womxn of Color in the entertainment business (outside of acting/talent--so including writers/screenwriters!). They're next cycle will be in the summer! #Startwith8 site.
From @cinapelayo: The Horror Writers Association @HorrorWriters has a mentorship program with sessions January - April and June - September! HWA site.
From @TopdjianC: The International Armenian Literary Alliance @armliterary focuses on supporting Armenian authors. Last year, their program ran during the summer! IALA site.
From @DiaryOfAFirebrd: Disabled Writers @DisabledWriters hosts a mentorship program that connects disabled writers in the media industry with disabled writers/editors! Last year, it ran during the winter! Disabled Writers site.
From @AshishRastogi12: South Asia Speaks @AsiaSpeaks hosts a literary mentorship program for early career writers in South Asia. It opens up again for mentorships in the fall! South Asia Speaks site.
From @natwrit3s: The Dead Writer Society @tdwsorg is a mentorship program specifically focused on young writers! It's #coachhunt pitch event to connect mentees with mentors happens 3 times a year! TDWS site. [May be defunct.]
